Long time...

I know,I know, it's been a long time..can't make time for lots of things, these days.I've got so much going on lately, my head is about to blow..I'm planning a lot, which is not like me, I'm trying to understand what the next step should be like and..I'm keeping up with some lovely custom orders; All of this just on the top of my everyday life and full time job.I'm not complaining, but I'm feeling the strain,I want more time to create and to look after my site,my blog,my everything..so bear with me, I just love this too much..:)
Anyway, I've made a few things lately, but couldn't even post them, it was too much rushing around.
These three pieces are from this last weekend. I want fun, I'm longing for colours and freshness, for light-hearted things, for joy and romance, for everything that can hit our senses in a positive way.Hard, with some grace, or just joyful, playful and careless.
Here you go, colourful wood and Zchech glass pearls, enjoy it!

Pearls!!!! Bettina Necklace

This is my last necklace, just finished it today. It is a custom order, a friend of mine wanted a long, double-stranded pearls necklace with a celebrity-style look. Here it is, inspired by a famous necklace that drove most girls crazy..!!
I added an ethnic touch (eehh..that's me!!)and some..how would you say nowadays.."whimsical" charms, the dragonfly and the key. I named this necklace after my friend, Bettina. I hope she's going to love it! I really do!And these pearls are very nice, nearly flawless and with a pretty lustre.Well.. back to work, other orders are on the way and I really have to put myself to work.
Enjoy the long weekend! :)

Weekend with friends

Last weekend I had some time off from crafting and I must say that, if one one hand I missed sitting quietly at home among my beads and chains, on the other hand I really enjoyed just hanging around with friends, care-free.
In all honesty, Saturday it was a half-day off..I met up with my two girlfriends and we had a photo-shoot with my T-shirts and my necklaces...It was so much fun!!!!!!!We also had a BBQ, and we celebrated my birthday, wich had been last week.On Sunday we went to meet a friend who was passing by London for a day or so, and we had a walk along the Regent Canal from the East London side.It was nice.
I haven't listed much lately in my shop, except this pearls and quartz set. I'll list other items soon, but I'm just adjusting my focus on what I want to create, lately. I have ideas, but it takes time to find the supplies you want and to "translate" your ideas into something, sometimes..maybe I'm being too perfectionist, but I'm awaiting for the "perfect moment"and the "perfect idea",sometimes..Anyway,here you go: my friends and my last addition to the shop.. enjoy!

Ceramic spring..

I made this necklace yesterday, and I'm so happy with it!
I've rarely used ceramic beads, but these pods are to die for! It's different from my usual necklace, but this is exactly what I wanted to do..something different, not serious, girly, fresh..and plenty of colours!
Maybe it's this endless winter, maybe I'm just changing my taste, but I need to see colours and cheerfulness around, these days..This was my first try, but I'm planning to make more of this kind of necklace!!
Off to buy new beads, have a lovely Sunday (and a nice roast... ;))

Last necklace

My last clay necklace.. I just love it!!I made these beads a while ago but,as usual, I waited to make something with them..you know when you just cherish something, and you are awaiting the.."big occasion"?..well,something like this.
I know this is not the necklace of the year, but I'm happy with it. I love the colour and I just love the way these beads have turned out. The glossy, smooth finish..the swirls, that I love so much..and the lenght ( I love long necklaces!!).
Hope you like it too.The pics don't do it justice, it's much more beautiful when you have it in your hands.
Have a great time!

Busy weekend...

It was a very, very busy weekend..Lots of going around, as my boyfriend's brother was here and lots of polymer clay..and a couple of necklaces,too..this is my Leaves necklace, made of sterling silver chain, antique silver plated leaf and a gorgeous swarovski leaf pendant.
I'm really tired, but I like when I see results, and I've got some in the last couple of days. Not much, but I'm happy with it,and with the fair approaching..all is good!
I love this necklace, it was in my mind for a while and I'm happy about the way it came out..any thought?

Victorian necklace

Here my last necklace. I love it!!
I made it last Sunday, and when I started I was thinking of making something that has personality and a touch of femininity and glamour too. I think I made it. I like the dark metal with the off-white pearls..and way the light chain gives the strong chain some grace..I must say I've been thinking of making this necklace for quite a while, now, but in my mind it was some kind of different, more classic. As I always do, I never respect even my own rules!!I can't think of any piece I've done so far that was really what I had in mind; I always change things during the making, but the results are often good to me.
Any thoughts on this? Is any of you like me, crazy and messy crafter, or are you the sort of organised and disciplined crafter who sets up a goal and sticks to it?
In a word are you rational or emotional?
I'd really love to hear your thoughts on this, come on leave a comment and let us know :)

My overdue Labradorite set

Aaww...here we go,my last creations from this cosy weekend.
I so,so love labradorite,I just can't get enough of it.I find it so beautiful, surprising, humbly elegant and fierce at the same time. I stared and stared at these large nuggets, then I just started to play with them and string them on the wire.Things came by themselves..When I received the stones I was slightly disappointed at first, as I noticed that a couple of them were a bit rough on some spots (not at the touch, only the look).Like roughly cut,or broken, somehow. But after a minute I was looking at them in the light I realised that I loved those imperfections!!!!They are so natural, and this is what I like.Natural feeling, and these nuggets have plenty of it. I wanted to combine them with sterling silver, but then I changed my mind,as I wanted to make something pretty that everybody can afford, and the sterling would have brought the price definitely up,particularly for the necklace.So..I just put some sterling accents here and there (the clasp on the bracelet, some plating and the irregular links on the necklace)..and everybody is happy!Or,at least,I hope so..I am!

Back from home..

Well...after a fantastic break away from the UK I just felt I needed to do something.
I haven't been posting or creating for a while,and I miss it.
So..here you go. My first Silver Clay pendant. I have a looong way to go, I need to practice and get some good tips about this medium, but I'm happy about how this pendant came out.I like the organic feeling, the lightly scratched texture, the mix of shiny spots and the oxidised shadows and the overall feeling of something that has been worn, that had its own life before we made it "ours".It's reversible, one side with the joyful flower and one side with the writing.I'll put it in the shop this evening, let's see if it catches someone's attention?I want to make lots of them, it's going to be the new addition to my shop!!!

First pandora-like bangle!

Here we go,my first picture..I made this bracelet a few days ago, but haven't list it in the shop yet.
It's my first attempt at a pandora style..I like it.I think. There's something I may change but haven't figure out what.
Anyway I still think it's pretty, with its neutral colours and the red spots here and there. And of course, lots of metal..I love, love, love metal!
